Security awareness training

Short, practical training for staff at Canadian municipalities and small businesses, delivered inside the Microsoft 365 you already use.

How it works

Everything runs in your own Microsoft 365. Staff sign in the way they already do, with no new app to install and no extra password to remember.

Lessons in SharePoint

Each module lives on a SharePoint page in your organization. Staff open it like any other work page.

Quizzes in Microsoft Forms

A short quiz at the end of each module checks what stuck.

Tracking with Power Automate

Quizzes are scored automatically, and each person's completion is recorded for you.

[TODO: list which Microsoft 365 plans or licences a client needs for this to work.]

Training modules

Each module ends with a quiz.

Phishing

Spotting fake emails, texts, and calls, including ones that seem to come from a manager.

Malware

How harmful software gets onto computers, and the habits that keep it out.

Bring Your Own Device

Using a personal phone or laptop for work without putting work information at risk.

Physical Security

Locked screens, visitors, printed documents, and keeping the office itself secure.

AI & Data Security

What is safe to put into an AI tool at work, and what is not.

Privacy & Online Safety

Handling personal information carefully and staying safe online.

Cloud Services

Sharing files and using online services without exposing information by accident.

In development

Ransomware

What ransomware is, how it gets in, and what to do if you see it.

AI literacy guide

A plain-language guide to the AI tools showing up at work. Available alongside the training modules.

  • Generative AI: tools that write text or make images
  • Large language models (LLMs): the technology behind chat assistants
  • Agentic AI: AI that can take actions on its own
  • Recommendation AI: systems that suggest what to see, buy, or do next

For municipalities and small businesses

Available to organizations across Canada. Our background is IT at the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, so we know how a town office runs.

  • The same training works for staff and for council or committee members
  • Staff complete it at their own desk, on their own schedule
  • Managers can check who has finished at any time
